A motion to purchase the 22 wreaths (lit and unlit) for the green poles was moved, seconded and carried by voice vote.
The donation from the Setifont family was described by a council member as generous; council voted to accept the $2,000 gift to be used for decorations. Members also offered condolences for Betty, a volunteer who maintained the Bird Island sign and nearby plantings.
