VILLISCA, Iowa — During a joint special session on Jan. 28, the Villisca and Corning boards voted to enter closed session under Iowa Code §21.5(1)(i) to evaluate the professional competency of an individual whose performance was being considered and who had requested a closed session.
Director Gourley moved for the closed session and Director Williams seconded; the minutes state that, following a roll call vote, the motion was approved unanimously. The boards entered closed session at 8:35 p.m. and returned to open session at 9:41 p.m.
After returning to open session, Director Gourley moved and Director Mullen seconded to adjourn; the motion carried unanimously and the meeting was adjourned at 9:41 p.m. The minutes do not record the content of the closed session or any formal personnel decisions made in open session.
