The Biwabik City Council ordered abatement of a nuisance property at 1097th Avenue North after staff presented recent photographs showing no change.
Administrator Jacobson provided the updated pictures and told council there had been a contractor cleanup conducted with police standby; the cleanup bill will be forwarded to the property owner and, if unpaid, assessed to next year's property taxes. No representative for the property owner was present at the hearing.
Council moved to abate the property; the motion carried on a voice vote. The city will proceed with billing the owner and placing an assessment lien if the bill is not paid.
