The Freeport Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously approved a replat to combine lots 13, 14, 15 and 16 (block 103) into a single platted parcel, lot 13A, at 822 West 7th Street.
Staff presented the application for applicant Jack Green Jr., noting the combined parcel would total approximately 0.643 acres and that tax certificates indicated no delinquent taxes. The replat does not change zoning (R2 in Ward A) or increase residential density, and staff recommended approval subject to standard recording and utility requirements.
Commission members who visited the site described it as maintained and observed that the applicant appeared to have already been mowing the property. One commissioner characterized it as a “nice corner lot.” No public opposition was recorded during the hearing.
Mr. Hayes made the motion to approve the replat and Mr. Buckman seconded; the commission voted unanimously to adopt the plat.
Staff said there is no anticipated negative financial impact to the city and that all application fees and documentation had been provided.
