The Freeport Planning and Zoning Commission on a unanimous voice vote approved a replat that adjusts the property line between lots 21 and 22 in Treasure Island Section 2, renaming the parcels as lots 21A and 22A.
Reggie Harris, the city’s building official, told the commission the replat covers a 0.275-acre subject tract (property IDs 80460371000 and 80460373000) and “the purpose of the proposed replat … is to move the property line approximately five feet between the two existing lots.” Harris said staff found the request generally consistent with the city’s subdivision and development regulations and recommended approval.
A resident who said they had visited the site told the commission they “drove out there and looked at it” and that, after reviewing the map and lots in the area, they had “no problem with this.” No other public concerns were raised during the hearing.
Commission members moved to close the public hearing and approve the replat. The commission’s approval was recorded by voice vote, with the motion carrying unanimously.
The replat does not change zoning classifications, land-use designations or residential density, and staff said there is no anticipated negative financial impact to the city. Required application materials, tax certificates and public notices were provided as part of the submission.
