The East Rockhill Township Board of Supervisors on July 23 approved its June 25 meeting minutes and authorized payment of the bills list dated July 19, 2024 totaling $336,041.55.
The board voted unanimously on routine business during the regular meeting at the township municipal office. On motions typically made by Supervisor Jim Nietupski and seconded by Chair Dave Nyman, the board also accepted the Pennridge Regional Police Department activity report and the Pennridge Wastewater Treatment Authority June minutes and flow reports.
In other business, the board adopted Resolution 2024-09 to apply for a state Multimodal Transportation Fund grant for the intersection of State Route 313 and Ridge Road. The chair and manager said the grant application is part of planned transportation improvements; the record notes a developer will pay for a separate roundabout project referenced by public commenters.
The board authorized the chair to execute Stormwater Operation and Maintenance Agreements and Access Easements for two properties: a Perkasie Regional Authority parcel on Rockhill Road (tax parcel 12-009-009) and a Callowhill Road parcel owned by Jacob and Kimberly Bartells (tax parcel 12-013-014-001) for a future single-family dwelling. For the Rockhill Road agreement the board also waived escrow in the amount of $29,723.70. Solicitor Will Oetinger presented the agreements; each motion carried unanimously.
The board tabled discussion of refurbishment proposals for aeration tanks at Sewer Treatment Plant #1 and directed staff to request an oversight proposal from CKS Engineers.
