Shorewood holds Planning Commission interviews; one candidate absent

Shorewood — The City Council conducted interviews for an open Planning Commission seat at its June 23 work session, asking candidates about their background, prior service to the city and planning experience.
Interviews began at 5:30 P.M. with Will Rouff and continued at 5:38 P.M. with Brandon Braithwaite; Naomi Berg did not attend her scheduled 5:46 P.M. slot. Mayor Labadie proposed tabling the remaining interview to later in the evening to accommodate scheduling, and Councilmember Maddy moved to table the Planning Commission interviews; the motion passed, 5-0.
After reviewing the Long-Term Financial Management Plan, the council returned to the interviews. Councilmember Maddy moved and Councilmember DiGruttolo seconded to remove the Planning Commission interviews from the table; the motion passed, 5-0. The council then interviewed Beth Brown at 6:30 P.M., asking about her background, history and experience relevant to service on the Planning Commission.
