East Rockhill board approves salt contract, acknowledges pension obligation and routine business

During its Aug. 27 meeting the East Rockhill Township Board of Supervisors approved a set of routine administrative and procurement actions.
The Board approved the July 23, 2024 meeting minutes (motion by Jim Nietupski; seconded by Gary Volovnik) and authorized payment of the bills list dated Aug. 23, 2024 for a total of $196,467.83 (motion by Gary Volovnik; seconded by Jim Nietupski). The minutes record both motions passed with all present voting in favor.
The Board awarded the 2024–2025 road salt bids through the Bucks County Consortium to Morton Salt, Inc. at a rate of $60.95 per ton delivered and $60.00 per ton undelivered. The Board also acknowledged receipt of the 2025 Minimum Municipal Obligation for Township pension plans and authorized the Manager to execute the paperwork.
The Board voted to table discussion of the East Rockhill Sewer Treatment Plant #1 aeration tank refurbishment proposals and the CKS Engineers oversight proposal until the 2025 budget review. The Board authorized advertising preliminary 2025 budget work sessions for 6:15 PM on Sept. 24 and Oct. 22, 2024. The Park and Recreation Committee resignation of William Wilson III after 27 years of service was acknowledged and the Board asked the Manager to obtain a plaque.
Most items were approved unanimously by those present; the minutes do not include roll-call vote tallies for individual supervisors.
