Elementary Principal Heath Hesse told the board that elementary students will take a PBIS celebration field trip to Castle Theaters and noted recent events including Donuts with Dudes and the winter concert.
Secondary Principal Kris Martin said FAFSA Night was recently held with 28 individuals in attendance and that staff are continuing to implement Xello for student planning. Martin reported an increase in behavior incidents in November, that the school has started holding lunch detentions for students with tardies, and that eighth-grade students had the district’s best attendance for November.
Activity Director Curtis, who was absent but provided a report, said the Sponsor-a-Chair drive is underway. Curtis also said efforts are underway to add more freshmen boys basketball games, adjust the track schedule to find additional co-ed meets, and that an updated coaches handbook was presented to the board.
These administrative updates were presented as informational items; no formal board action was taken on the activity updates or principal reports at this meeting.
