HUXLEY CITY — At the July 23 council meeting, Police Chief Nate Albaugh said Huxley’s ordinance language concerning parking on grass is unclear and cited Cambridge’s ordinance as an example the city could consider.
Albaugh told council members that enforcing the current verbiage presents challenges and may not achieve the intended outcomes. Council members discussed options including clarifying the ordinance language or imposing requirements that parking areas be paved or graveled.
No ordinance amendment was proposed or voted on. Council asked staff to review local examples and return with recommended ordinance language and enforcement options.
