The Waterford Economic Development Commission reviewed a draft job description for a part-time EDC Community Liaison at its Jan. 14 meeting.
The draft, submitted to commissioners by First Selectman Rob Brule, outlines proposed duties and responsibilities for the position. Commissioners discussed the draft duties by email and at the meeting. James Nicholas asked that the job description explicitly include responsibility for "leading marketing initiatives." The commission directed Mark Wujtewicz, planner and interim planning director, to incorporate that language and present a formatted job description for review at the next meeting.
The discussion was limited to drafting and formatting the job description; no hiring action, budget authorization, or timeline for recruitment was approved at the meeting. Commissioners did not alter compensation, hours, or reporting lines during this review. The item will return to the commission with the requested edits for further consideration.
