Pinellas board approves purchase of 2026–27 state‑adopted instructional materials

Chief Academic Officer Danica Jones said the purchase is an annual request required separately under state statute section 1006.28.2a and reflected materials the board had already approved through the public hearing and adoption process. "This item before you today is the annual request for funds to purchase our adopted state‑approved instructional materials for the upcoming 2026‑2027 school year," Jones told the board.
Jones also thanked district staff involved in the adoption and selection process and recognized Bronwyn Slack, the district’s new program specialist for library media and instructional materials, for organizing the review and vendor processes. The board approved the purchase 7–0.
