The Town of Danvers Accessibility Commission voted unanimously to recommend that Aimee Velazquez be appointed from an alternate to a full board member.
Chair J.D. Martz made the motion at the commission’s Jan. 23 meeting; the recorded vote was 3-0 in favor. Martz said he would follow up by sending a letter of recommendation to the Town Manager’s office to complete the appointment process.
Velazquez participated in subsequent agenda items, including event planning and grant applications, and is expected to remain engaged as the commission pursues small grants and local programming. The recommendation will be processed by the Town Manager’s office; the meeting minutes did not record a formal date when the appointment would take effect.
