Town public-health staff told the Board of Health that influenza cases reported in Danvers since Dec. 9 total 140, compared with 46 in the same period a year earlier; COVID-19 case counts were recorded at 65, similar to the prior year.
The minutes note that a measles suspect case was investigated and subsequently revoked, and that overall vaccination compliance is reported at greater than 95 percent. Staff said a regional flu clinic is scheduled for Jan. 29 in Beverly and that the department is exploring the possibility of an additional clinic in Danvers. A separate vaccination-rate report was described as pending and will be shared by email.
The minutes list other surveillance notes: fewer than five foodborne illness cases and a presentation on public health and vaccinations delivered at North Shore Community College. The record does not include line-by-line speaker attributions for these figures; they are presented in the meeting materials and minutes.
