The Waterford Conservation Commission voted unanimously on Jan. 22 to direct staff to prepare a draft permit allowing temporary access for Adams Builders to excavate soil test pits at 11 Country Club Drive.
Staff explained the commission had approved temporary access in 2017 for a different test area to demonstrate the site could support on‑site septic systems, and that work has been completed. Adams Builders has submitted a new application because it wants to test a different area and use a different access point.
Member Keith Kriet moved the motion, which was seconded by Tali Maidelis and approved 6-0. Staff will draft a permit with conditions for the temporary access and return it for further action as required by commission procedure.
The commission also handled other routine items and adjourned at 7:01 p.m.
