Huxley staff report progress on Splash Pad, water plant and development projects
Summary
Park and Recreation and public works staff reported progress on the Splash Pad project and said the water plant expansion should wrap up within a month to six weeks; staff also updated council on Anthem and Westview Heights construction and planned video/audio upgrades for council chambers.
Park and Recreation Director Heather Dengler and City Engineer Forrest Aldrich updated the council on the Splash Pad project during the Sept. 10 meeting. Aldrich and Dengler provided status information; no formal action was requested.
Public Works Director Jeff Peterson told the council the water treatment plant expansion should be close to wrapping up in about one month to six weeks. City Clerk/Finance Officer Barb Barrick said she and the city auditor are continuing work on TIF numbers for the FY24 audit. City Administrator David Haugland said he is obtaining cost estimates for audio/video upgrades to the council chambers.
Forrest Aldrich added that construction is continuing on the Anthem project and that Westview Heights Plat 4 is progressing quickly. Chris Gardner said the maintenance bond for the Landing Close Out should be finalized this week or next. Council Member Roberts asked about the goal-setting session; Haugland said it would begin following the Oct. 8 meeting because he and Council Member Rigler will be absent Sept. 24.
