Iowa Falls Board elects officers, approves operating procedures and banking limits

The Iowa Falls Board of Education elected Todd Bicknese as board president and Chris Stauffer as vice‑president during its annual organizational meeting on Dec. 9, 2024; both were elected unanimously and sworn in, and Brittany McNeil was approved as board secretary/treasurer and administered an oath.
The board approved the Board of Education Operating Procedures Guidebook by unanimous vote. The guidebook’s annual approvals included designated depository banks and limits (Iowa Falls State Bank and GNB Bank at $4,000,000 each; Greenbelt Bank & Trust at $10,000,000; PMA Financial Network at $15,000,000), a regular meeting schedule (second Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m., with June and July meetings at noon on the second Monday), and the appointment of David Moore as the IASB delegate for 2024–25.
The board also designated the Times Citizen Newspaper as the district’s official publication and named Ahlers & Cooney P.C. as the district’s school attorney. Dawn Parker was approved to serve as the Hardin County Conference Board representative for the 2024–25 year. The annual fundraisers were presented and accepted as part of the organizational items.
Each of these motions carried 5–0. The board’s organizational approvals set governance and administrative parameters—meeting cadence, banking limits and official designations—for the Iowa Falls Community School District’s 2024–25 year. The board’s next regular meeting was scheduled under the adopted calendar.
