Stone Park trustees approve nearly $440,000 paving pay request and multiple pavilion repairs

The Village of Stone Park Board of Trustees on Dec. 9 approved a large pay request for local paving work and voted to move forward on several pavilion and cultural-center repairs.
Trustee Loretta J. Teets moved and Trustee Marco A. Gutierrez seconded approval of IMEGRecommendation for Chicagoland Paving Contractors, Inc. Pay Request 1 for $439,920.75; the motion passed on a roll-call vote with six ayes. The board also ratified AJD's Concrete Proposal for $13,691.50 (originally voted on Nov. 19, 2025).
Separately, the board approved Vision Construction & Consulting, Inc. Invoice #4042 for $45,000.00 to cover electrical upgrades at the Cultural Center and approved Vision Construction's recommendation to accept the Armorshield proposal for the Pavilion roof project totaling $64,250.00. Trustee Teets moved the Vision and Armorshield items; votes were recorded as six ayes on each motion. The board also approved Chamorro Champion Glass Inc. Quote #10147 for $2,000.00 to install two windows in the Pavilion bathroom.
Taken together, the approvals allow the village to continue work on resurfacing and facility improvements the board has been advancing; trustees recorded unanimous affirmative roll-call votes for each listed expenditure.
The meeting record shows motions were moved and seconded by trustees as follows: AJD's ratification (moved by Teets; second Gutierrez), IMEG/Chicagoland pay request (moved by Teets; second Gutierrez), Vision Invoice #4042 (moved by Teets; second Terrazas), Armorshield pavilion roof (moved by Teets; second Gutierrez), and Chamorro window installation (moved by Teets; second Roman). Each motion carried on a 6-0 roll-call vote as recorded.
