Lance presented the request to hire Elizabeth Brooks and Ruth (surname provided in the meeting packet) as on-call substitute library staff at $15 per hour. Council approved both hires by voice vote and also approved library accounts payable that were handed out at the meeting.
Staff noted the library director position was posted with applications accepted through Nov. 1 and that interviews are planned for the second or third week of November with an intended start date for a new director on Jan. 1. A search/interview committee was established to carry out the hiring process.
