Council members approved an adjusted utility easement on Pelican Valley property tied to the new Aquatic Center’s deck drainage on July 9.
Staff explained the original site plans differed from the as‑built routing, requiring the easement rectangle to move south. The revised easement increases the width from the originally planned 10 feet to 25 feet and measures about 75 feet in length; the starting point of the easement will also be adjusted to match the pipe alignment.
Staff asked for a motion to approve the utility easement with the adjusted dimensions; a motion and second were made and the council carried the motion by voice vote. Staff said engineers and the city attorney prepared the revised easement language and diagrams and that the change will allow the pool deck drains to connect to a catch basin on the Pelican Valley parcel.
