Kanawha council adopts water, sewer, burial and peddler ordinances

The council also considered Ordinance #041426-3, addressing burial rules. After a call for public comment, Council member Phyllis Jordanger moved to waive the three readings; Jessica Fowles seconded. The council then moved to adopt Ordinance #041426-3, and the motion carried unanimously. Similarly, the council received and adopted Ordinance #041426-4 concerning peddlers after waiving the three readings on a motion by Tim Lodin (seconded by Jordanger).
All four ordinance items were approved by unanimous voice votes during the meeting. The council’s minutes record the ordinance numbers and the motions; the clerk will include the ordinances in the official records.
