At the Nov. 10 meeting of the Jesup Community School District Board, Ms. Wheelock introduced 8th grader Logan Gonzalez, who described how the middle school is working with students to achieve the district's Portrait of a Graduate (PoG) goals.
Logan outlined what the PoG goals are and explained how teachers and staff are embedding those competencies and habits into everyday lessons and activities. The presentation focused on practical classroom examples and how those learning targets are reinforced across subjects.
Superintendent Mr. Kohagen and board members acknowledged the presentation during administrator and superintendent reports and noted the PoG work is an ongoing district priority with short-term plans under discussion.
