Mrs. Bailey updated the board on near‑complete high school and middle school technology upgrades, proposed ClearTouch interactive panels to replace aging elementary projectors, Chromebook transitions for teachers and reallocation of replaced devices to paraeducators, comprehensive vendor vulnerability scanning to support cybersecurity insurance compliance, and procurement timing considerations related to tariffs and supply chains.
The board reviewed Policy 605.8 and 605.8R1 (a model policy recommended from IASB) on a first reading; a subcommittee including Mr. Hansmann, Mrs. Bailey, Mr. Nickerson and Dr. Beyenhof will draft specific student handbook language on plagiarism, citation, AI drafting guidance, personal data protection and harassment before recommending final adoption.
