The Treynor Community School District board voted unanimously on Jan. 13 to approve a $540,510 contract with Midwest Field Turf to remove and replace the district’s stadium field turf.
The bid, funded through SAVE (Statewide penny sales tax) funds, is under the district’s $593,000 estimate. The proposal covers complete removal and replacement of the turf, includes an eight‑year warranty with annual deep‑cleaning services, sustainable reuse of suitable infill material, and infrastructure work for play clocks and associated conduits and junction boxes. The district scheduled installation for a tight window between June 9 and July 18, 2025 to complete work before the 2025–26 school year.
The board approved the motion to accept the bid 5–0. The motion was made by Mr. Dreyer and seconded by Mr. Stogdill.
Board materials note the contractor was chosen for prior positive performance with the district and for providing all components needed to integrate with existing systems. The bid description indicated the vendor will follow an installation schedule the district will monitor to ensure on‑time completion.
The board did not provide additional public comment or make amendments to the contract during the meeting. The district did not specify contingency plans in the meeting record if the timeline slips.
