Josephine County OKs $20,000 restorative-justice training contract

The Josephine County Board of Commissioners on June 16 approved a one-year renewal contract with Restorative Solutions for restorative-justice training services not to exceed $20,000.
Community Justice Director Scott Hyde said the training supports staff and reinforces the department’s restorative justice model used in juvenile programs and that the contract cost was included in the approved budget. Commissioner Colene M. Martin moved to approve the contract; Commissioner Gary L. Richardson seconded the motion. Upon roll call the vote was 3-0 in favor.
The board did not attach additional conditions to the contract during the workshop. The agreement is an annual renewal authorized within the department budget. The board’s formal approval completes the procurement step; staff will administer the contract through the Community Justice program.
