Hayden City Council on June 23 approved a professional services agreement with Architects West to provide phase one design and construction management services for McIntyre Park. Staff clarified the contract covers design through construction management and that the city will separately procure the construction contractor when ready.
During the staff presentation, council asked whether work orders and task orders would move in sequential order; staff responded that task orders would generally proceed sequentially and that the procurement for construction remains to be completed.
A motion to approve the agreement “as stated” with a not-to-exceed amount of $228,500 passed on a roll-call vote: Council President DePriest — yes; Council member Erickson — yes; Council member Shafer — yes.
Next steps: staff will finalize the professional services agreement with Architects West and proceed with procurement processes for construction when the design and required approvals are complete.
