Jesup board names Clayberg president, Youngblut vice president; several members sworn in
Summary
At its Dec. 8 organizational meeting the Jesup Community School District board nominated Nate Clayberg for president and Carrie Youngblut for vice president, with roll-call approvals; multiple members received oaths of office during and after the meeting.
The Jesup Community School District Board of Directors held its organizational meeting Dec. 8 and moved to fill leadership roles for 2025–26.
Board Secretary Kilby called for nominations for president; James Masteller nominated Nate Clayberg and the board voted to cease nominations. The roll-call vote to adopt the nomination was recorded as all aye and the motion carried. Kilby then called for nominations for vice president; Masteller nominated Carrie Youngblut and, after nominations were closed, the board approved Youngblut by roll call vote.
Board Secretary Kilby administered the Oath of Office to Dana Miller during the meeting. Kilby later administered the oath to Katie Bell after the meeting at 6:59 p.m. The meeting addendum records additional oaths administered at the district office on later dates: Carrie Youngblut was sworn in as vice president on Dec. 10, Nate Clayberg as board president on Dec. 11, and Chris Jung as board member on Dec. 12; witnesses and times are noted in the addendum.
The board also appointed James Masteller to serve as president pro tem for the remainder of the Dec. 8 meeting by a motion that carried unanimously.
The board said it will review committee assignments at its next meeting on Jan. 12, 2026, to reflect these leadership changes.
