During committee reports at the Aug. 18 Grundy Center City Council meeting, the Public Works Committee provided three operational updates and a development inquiry.
The committee said the CIT sewer cleaning crew has completed work and the crack sealing crew is finished for the season. Staff reported many utility-locate requests tied to planned fiber installations in the city. Committee members also noted that a prospective new business has contacted the city to ask about wastewater facility capacity and applicable permitting requirements.
The Public Safety Committee had no comments to report. These updates were informational; no formal action followed. The council adjourned at 7:15 p.m.
