Committee Chair Jodi Mackay said members hope for a smooth transition and improved communications going forward. The committee did not record formal direction to staff or a timeline for follow-up at the May 26 meeting.
The concern emerged during the Fire Department's operational update, which also covered training, staffing and upcoming events; committee members did not take formal action beyond discussing the need for clearer information from city executives. The next Emergency Services Committee meeting is scheduled for Monday, June 22, 2026 at 6 p.m. in Council Chambers.
