The Lenox City Council on Feb. 24, 2026 approved Resolution 26-05 to set a public hearing on the proposed property tax levy rate for March 23, 2026, at 5:15 p.m. The resolution passed on a roll-call vote recorded as "all ayes," and the motion carried.
Earlier in the meeting the council approved routine consent items: the meeting agenda, the Feb. 9, 2026 regular meeting minutes, and payment of bills dated Feb. 24, 2026. Councilmember Peterson moved to approve the agenda and minutes; the motions were recorded as seconded and carried unanimously.
The council also approved Special Event Permits for two community events. Peterson moved to approve a Special Event Permit for "Old Fashioned Fun Night" scheduled for July 22, 2026; the minutes record the motion as carried but list the seconder in the transcript in a way that appears to be a transcription error (see audit). Councilmember Tull moved to approve Special Event Permits for Pocket Park Markets set for June 6, July 11 and Aug. 29, 2026; that motion was seconded by Councilmember Hodges and recorded as carried.
The meeting was called to order at 5:30 p.m. and adjourned at 5:40 p.m.
