The Lenox City Council on Dec. 8 approved Pay Application #2 for Phase 3 of the city’s walking trail, totaling $168,125.72, and accepted a $1,550 change-order credit after a project update from the city’s consultant.
Will Fargo of Garden & Associates told the council the Phase 3 work is complete and that dormant seeding has been applied. He said the contractor will be responsible for any required reseeding, performed as specified in the contract at no additional cost to the city. Fargo also reported a $1,550 credit for storm-sewer material that was not needed and presented Pay Application #2 covering work from Oct. 30 to Dec. 2, 2025, with a $10,163.97 retainage deducted.
Councilor Tull moved to approve Change Order #1, a $1,550 credit for the Walking Trail Improvements project; Hodges seconded and the motion passed with all ayes. Peterson moved to approve Pay Application #2 in the amount of $168,125.72; Huffman seconded and the motion passed with all ayes. The council recorded that the $10,163.97 retainage will be released 30 days after formal acceptance by the city.
The council did not discuss additional contract modifications at the meeting. The next procedural step is formal acceptance of the work by the city, after which the retainage will be released.
