Bernalillo approves FY2018 audit, carnival permit and $477,314 in bills

The Town of Bernalillo Governing Body unanimously accepted the completed FY2018 audit and adopted Resolution 03-25-2019 after a presentation from Kubiak Melton & Associates.
"This audit has been completed and presented to the Town of Bernalillo's Governing Body per the February 13, 2019 Letter from the State Auditor authorizing release of the FY2018 audit," auditors Geraldine Guerrero and Daniel Trujillo reported during the meeting.
Councilor Jaramillo moved to adopt the resolution; Councilor Sisneros seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
Also on the consent items, the council approved a celebration permit for the Rio Grande Celtic Festival, scheduled May 4–5, 2019 at Rotary Park. Michael Kloeppel, the town’s economic development director, said participating craft vendors include Hollow Spirits Distillery, Starr Brothers Brewing and Bosque Brewing Co., and that alcohol will be served in a designated alcohol garden (Saturday 10 a.m.–5 p.m.; Sunday 12 p.m.–4:30 p.m.). The permit was approved by motion of Councilor Sisneros, seconded by Councilor Jaramillo, and carried unanimously.
Mayor Torres asked the council to approve accounts payable totaling $477,314.36; Councilor Jaramillo moved approval, Councilor Sisneros seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
There were no public comments. The meeting included announcements about streetscape grants and capital outlay awards and adjourned at 7:30 p.m.
