Commissioners place several items on Feb. 18 agenda; announcements, property reappraisal and right-of-way petition noted

At the Feb. 10 Bradley County Commission work session, several procedural and agenda items were placed on the Feb. 18 Voting Session agenda.
Commissioner Milan Blake placed a resolution authorizing a continuous four-year reappraisal cycle and a memorandum of understanding on the Feb. 18 agenda. 4th District Commissioner Howard Thompson placed a resolution on the Feb. 18 agenda proposing an amendment to the county’s beer-permit application procedure to prohibit sale, storage and manufacturing of beer for off-premises consumption within 185 feet of schools, churches and other public gathering areas. Commissioner Josh Rogers placed a motion to accept petitions to abandon right-of-way along Eleanor Drive (tax map 065J group E parcel 017.00) and earlier removed item B from the agenda.
Commissioner Scott Gilbert noted that President Donald Trump declared Feb. 9 ‘Gulf of America Day’ (recorded in the minutes). Announcements included the next Voting Session (Feb. 18 at noon), The Bridge Parent Academy meeting (Feb. 10 at 6:00 p.m., Pangle Hall), a Road Committee meeting (Feb. 12), a Board of Education meeting (Feb. 13) and closure of county offices for Presidents' Day (Feb. 17). There was no communication from the audience. The work session adjourned at 12:09 p.m.
None of these items were voted on during the Feb. 10 work session; they were placed on the Feb. 18 Voting Session agenda for consideration.
