Jaffrey Library trustees approve minutes, set July holiday hours and ask director to study summer schedule

At their Feb. 17 meeting, the Jaffrey Public Library Trustees unanimously accepted minutes and the treasurer’s report, approved opening July 3 and closing July 4, and directed Director Julie Perrin to explore summer hours for presentation at the March meeting.
The Jaffrey Public Library Trustees met Feb. 17, 2026, and unanimously accepted the board’s minutes from Jan. 20 and the treasurer’s report.
Deb Weissman moved to accept the Secretary’s minutes and Emily Carr seconded; trustees approved the motion 5-0. Judith Goff moved to accept the treasurer’s report, seconded by Weissman; that motion also carried 5-0.
On library hours, Deb Weissman moved that the library be open on Friday, July 3 and closed on Saturday, July 4; Judith Goff seconded and trustees approved the motion 5-0. Weissman also moved that the board ask Director Julie Perrin to explore possible summer-hour schedules and report back at the March trustees meeting; Goff seconded and the board approved the request 5-0.
In old business Perrin provided a brief legislative update and reported that the library remains in limbo regarding the Farmer’s Market; she said she had been told Team Jaffrey has been dissolved and that no memorandum of understanding (MOU) regarding the market is yet in place.
The meeting concluded when Deb Weissman moved to adjourn, Emily Carr seconded, and trustees voted 5-0 to adjourn at 4:41 p.m. The minutes were recorded by Karie Swift.
