At the July 16 Glassport Borough Council meeting, public commenters raised billing and neighborhood-safety concerns and received responses from borough officials.
Michael Thomas presented paperwork about the Residential Rental License and asked whether the garbage bill could be included with property tax billing. Solicitor Falco Muscante said the borough's rental-license fees are in line with requirements, and Council President Anthony Colecchi said the garbage-bill question is under advisement.
Resident Kathy Emerick described repeated instances of children being unattended on the 400 block of Ohio Avenue and thanked police and borough leaders for looking into the matter. President Colecchi responded that residents should call the police when they observe such situations.
These comments came during the meeting's public-comment period; the minutes do not record a council vote or a specific timeline for follow-up beyond the solicitor's reassurance about fee alignment and council’s acknowledgment that the garbage-billing issue will be considered further.
The meeting adjourned after public comment; minutes show unanimous recorded votes for the day's motions.
