Monee trustees approve mutual-aid membership and nearly $1.0 million in pay requests for capital projects

A trustee explaining the change said it will simplify requests and coordination for outside assistance: "It's a system for providing communication for mutual aid ... it's going to make requesting the mutual aid a whole lot simpler," the trustee said.
Trustees then approved four pay requests that the administrator said met contract or review requirements. The administrator recommended payment of $82,561.76 to M&J Underground for the 2025 sidewalk improvement program, citing work and invoice review; "the work meets all contract requirements, therefore it's recommended that we pay M&J," the administrator said. The board also approved a partial reimbursement to Tractor Supply Company for public‑improvement work in and around the town center detention pond in the amount of $745,932.29; the administrator said the work was completed on village property and staff had reviewed the documentation.
The board approved pay request No. 1 to Raindrop Products for phase two splash‑pad installation at Fireman's Park for $63,211.50. Trustees asked whether partial payments reflected installed work and staff confirmed payments are proportionate to completed portions and materials ordered. Finally, trustees approved payment to DuPage Engineering for services on the new police facility in the amount of $99,440.37; the Police Chief described finalizing exterior and interior plans and said bidding is expected to begin if the schedule holds, with bidding anticipated around November and documents out for bid in September.
