The Hobart City Redevelopment Authority approved several routine but consequential administrative items including a contract renewal, a group of downtown business permits, cancellation of the annual sidewalk event and authorization to pursue a 2026 streets design and bid package.
S1 read six downtown business names and moved to approve them through Oct. 31: Burkhos Bari Grill (230 Main Street), Cafe 339 (339 Main Street), Montego Bay Grill (322 Main Street), Rangers at the Clock Tower (437 East 3rd Street), Sip Coffee House (310 Main Street) and Farmhouse Coffee (223 Center Street). The board approved those licenses by voice vote.
The board also approved a contract renewal tabled earlier in the meeting after staff reported ongoing conversations and comfort in moving forward; the motion to renew the contract was moved and seconded and approved.
On infrastructure, a presenter (S5) described work to prepare design and bid documents for the CCMG streets package and said a first‑group engineer would prepare plans for $43,000 so the city can go to bid when funding is confirmed. The board moved to approve consideration of the 2026 CCNG design and bid agreement so the city can proceed with design work ahead of potential grant awards.
The meeting recorded voice votes and multiple "ayes" for the listed approvals.
