Christie, the district Q Comp coordinator, presented the annual Q Comp report at the May 26 board meeting, summarizing survey results, participation rates and recommendations for improvement.
She said the Q Comp plan has four main components—career‑advancement options (PLC/tier‑one delivery teams), job‑embedded professional development, teacher evaluation/coaching, and performance pay—and that staff reported improved communication, collaboration and instructional consistency as a result of the plan. Completion and participation rates were high: elementary PLC participation and professional development completion were reported at or near 99%, peer reviews at 100% where required, and optional peer reviews lower at the high school.
"Staff members who were eligible have the opportunity to earn up to $2,000," Christie said. She also reported projected site payout figures for performance pay of about $127,000 at the elementary level and roughly $12,000 for the high school for the year, and recommended streamlining documentation, protecting collaboration time and expanding peer‑observation opportunities.
Board members thanked Christie for her work, noted that she is transitioning the coordinator role to McKenzie Sanders next year, and said they were relieved to hear from a state representative that, for the 2026–27 school year, no structural changes to the Q Comp program were expected following earlier legislative attention.
