Local business leader urges Faribault council to restore rent-assistance funding for CAC

"To turn down the CAC's request, I think is foolhardy on the part of this," Cavalier said, adding that the community has raised money in private fundraising but that city funds approaching expiration should be used to support people in need.
Mayor Spooner acknowledged Cavalier and noted she had not received an emailed copy of his remarks; Cavalier said he had sent materials in advance. The council did not take an immediate action in response to the public comment during the meeting record provided.
