The York Board of Education on Sept. 9 approved routine consent items including the Aug. 26, 2024 minutes and payment of bills. Board member Amie Kopcho moved to approve the prior minutes; Alison North seconded and a roll call recorded five votes in favor.
On approval of bills, the board first moved to approve bills and checks for payment while excluding the Kopcho Sanitation bill so Board member Amie Kopcho could vote on the remaining bills; that motion passed on a roll call vote. The board then moved to approve the Kopcho Sanitation bill separately; Amie Kopcho abstained from that vote because of a family connection, and the motion passed with four yes votes and one abstention.
Separately, the board excused the absence of member Matt Holthe after a motion by Alison North, seconded by Amie Kopcho; the motion passed on a recorded roll call. The minutes record the items as adopted and list no further conditions or follow-up related to these consent items.
