Council follows up on address correction for Living Meadows and certified-assessment application errors

Staff also reported that several certified assessments (including a church parking lot, K's demolition and a Travis Skyer demolition listed in the packet) were sent to the county but were not applied to tax parcel records this year. Staff said they have contacted property owners and arranged payments so the assessments can be applied on next year's tax rolls; staff explained that assessment application typically appears when a property sale triggers a title search and certificate-of-assessment request.
Council members discussed follow-up options to ensure assessments get attached to parcel records and asked staff to continue coordination with the county.
