The Connecticut Housing Finance Authority on May 29 adopted a resolution authorizing a public hearing on proposed revisions to the 2026 and 2027 Low‑Income Housing Tax Credit Qualified Allocation Plan (QAP).
Terry Nash Giovannucci, Community Engagement Officer, presented the proposed changes and a timeline for review and public comment. The resolution delegates authority to the Chief Executive Officer — Executive Director to hold the public hearing in accordance with the Internal Revenue Code requirements for housing credit agencies and with the materials summarized in the staff memorandum dated May 29, 2025.
The Board approved the resolution by roll call (motion by Gregory Ugalde; seconded by Matthew Pugliese). The hearing will allow public input on allocation priorities and program revisions that would guide CHFA's use of Low‑Income Housing Tax Credits for the next two program years.
No public comments were received during the Board's meeting itself when the Chairman called for callers on the public line.
