Council backs murals, farmers-market tent anchors and skate-park support

"I'm Janelle Thomas with the Chamber of Commerce in Harrison County," she said, and described tiered options: the chamber can provide a portable speaker and marketing or arrange a paid production package (vendor estimate roughly $800–$2,000 depending on services). The chamber will coordinate volunteers and promotional outreach if the town requests assistance.
Separately, staff reported logistics for the skate-park opening (safety coordination, possible small stage, volunteers) and that an additional public restroom will be provided with trustee support. Staff and volunteers will follow up with parking, staging and insurance details.
What happens next: staff will finalize grant paperwork and, if awarded, proceed with mural commissioning; staff will schedule market anchor installation and work with the chamber on event planning if the council requests.
