nd paras were concerned not about adding minutes in principle but that leadership did not sufficiently incorporate staff feedback. "It is not the idea of time being added to the day that is concerning to teachers . . . it was about the process that took place to determine where to put the minutes," Oberquolay said, urging stronger two-way communication.
Board members and administrators discussed other practical impacts: bus routing and the after-school pickup sequence, and how hourly paraprofessionals who rely on second jobs would be scheduled. Administrators said the change does not lengthen employees —ontracted hours on paper and that principals will work with staff locally to avoid forcing hourly employees beyond their agreed hours.
