Harrison Township officials discussed two related blight and demolition items during their Sept. 17 agenda meeting. Manager Amy Rockwell described Concurring Resolution No. 1982 as the Township’s application to ACED under the county’s Blighted Property Recovery Program to demolish ten houses on Walnut Street.
Separately, Rockwell reported that the Engineer and the Building Inspector have signed off on the first three properties in the Blight Removal Program on Spruce Street, which allows the AVNCOG to request payment from the County under the Blight Removal Program Contractor Payment Application No. 1. Rockwell presented these items for the Board’s consideration; no final vote on the resolution or payment request was recorded at the meeting.
The board did not take final action; staff indicated county-level processing and payment requests via the COG are the next administrative steps.
