Harrison Township approves ALDI pylon sign at Freeport Road location

The Harrison Township Board of Commissioners voted to approve a pylon sign request from ALDI for its store at 4024 Freeport Road during the Aug. 20 agenda meeting. Commissioner Charles Dizard moved to approve the request, Commissioner Eric Bengel seconded, and the board voted unanimously in favor.
Manager Amy Rockwell said the approval followed an engineer’s letter finding the proposal met the criteria in Chapter 27, Part 3, §304.13 (Pylon Signs). The board recorded the motion as approved with all present voting in favor.
The approval was handled as New Business; no public comment was recorded on the item. The decision will allow ALDI to proceed with installing the sign consistent with the engineer’s recommendations and township ordinance requirements.
