The Decatur City Council voted to adopt several financial and regulatory measures at its meeting. Ordinance 2026-8 amends the salary ordinance (2025-15) to adjust pay rates for sanitation staff and to set job title and pay rates in the parks and recreation department; the same four members voted yes and the ordinance carried.
Following a public hearing with no speakers, the council placed and adopted Ordinance 2026-6, which amends chapter 150 (section 150.357) of the Decatur Code of Ordinances to change building permit fees and costs for demolition services. The recorded roll call again showed the four present council members voting yes.
All motions and roll-call votes recorded in the meeting were unanimous among members present; Abby Wilder was recorded as absent. The council approved paying claims and adjourned at the end of the meeting.
