The Decatur City Council voted to adopt several financial and regulatory measures at its meeting. Council members approved Resolution 2026-4, authorizing the mayor to sign State Revolving Fund (SRF) loan documents for an upcoming water improvement project. The resolution was introduced, moved and adopted by voice vote.
The council also approved a series of CF-1 forms tied to prior abatement resolutions (2018-14, 2019-11, 2022-12 and 2025-2) covering both personal and real property; staff noted each CF-1 will be forwarded to the county auditor for final processing. Those approvals were made by motion and voice vote.
On ordinance business the council placed three measures on final reading and adopted them by roll call. Ordinance 2026-7 amends Ordinance 2021-11 to reallocate sports complex concession revenue so deposits may be made to the parks cash change and concession fund; the roll call recorded Jenny Bauer Schultz, Matt Dyer, Tyler Kuhlencamp and Scott Murray voting yes, with Abby Wilder absent, and the ordinance carried.
Ordinance 2026-8 amends the salary ordinance (2025-15) to adjust pay rates for sanitation staff and to set job title and pay rates in the parks and recreation department; the same four members voted yes and the ordinance carried.
Following a public hearing with no speakers, the council placed and adopted Ordinance 2026-6, which amends chapter 150 (section 150.357) of the Decatur Code of Ordinances to change building permit fees and costs for demolition services. The recorded roll call again showed the four present council members voting yes.
All motions and roll-call votes recorded in the meeting were unanimous among members present; Abby Wilder was recorded as absent. The council approved paying claims and adjourned at the end of the meeting.
