Rushford Village council approves 2025 appointments, bank signatories and routine contracts

The Rushford Village City Council confirmed several administrative and contractual items for 2025 at its Jan. 21 annual meeting.
Council members approved appointments and designations: Mike Ebner was named Vice Mayor; Judy Graham was designated Acting Clerk; Mary Miner was designated Acting Treasurer. The council voted to keep regular meetings on the first and third Tuesdays at 7:00 p.m.
The council approved official depositories and signatories at Rushford State Bank (signatures designated for checking, safe deposit and CDs) and set $5,000 credit-card limits for the maintenance department and clerk. The Fillmore County Journal was named the official newspaper for 2025 and the council approved committee assignments for Personnel & Finance, Equipment, Health Officers and other bodies.
Council reviewed and approved routine contracts for 2025, including insurance through Butch Johnson Agency (LMCIT coverage), the O'Koren Law Firm as city attorney (hourly and meeting rates as stated), auditor services (Engelson & Associates), trash collection (Harter's Quick Clean Up), water-tower inspections (KLM Engineering), Granicus open-platform fees, and billing software (Centralsquare). The council voted to approve the presented contracts (motion by Link; second Ruberg).
