The Select Board approved several business permits and event requests at its June 2 meeting, handling routine administrative hearings and a few stipulations.
Panini Pizzeria: The board reopened and closed a public hearing for the application by Mama Molton Inc. d/b/a Panini Pizzeria (owner Christopher Salvo) to change from a wines & malt license to an all‑alcohol license after updated abutter notifications to the ABCC. The applicant was not present; no public opposition was recorded and the board voted to accept the application as represented.
Sinesta Select Boston Danvers (275 Independence Way): Applicants Munali Ben Patel and Himlum Kumar Patel described a transfer of an all‑alcohol in‑holder common victualler license. The board clarified hours and service areas and approved the transfer with a stipulation limiting bar/restaurant service to close no later than 11:00 p.m.; the clerk confirmed TIP certifications and named managers on the license.
Twisted Fate Brewing: The board approved a one‑day beer & wine license for a Danvers Rotary bocce event at Endicott Park (July 23, rain date July 30) and approved 12 one‑day licenses for a summer concert series on the library lawn (July–August dates). One Select Board member abstained from the concert‑series vote because of a personal connection to a performing band; the remainder of the board voted in favor.
Street closure: Lion's Funeral (CR Lions) requested a closure of Park Street in front of 16 Park Street on June 14 from 12:30–4:30 p.m. for a celebration of life; the board approved the closure and asked DPW/police to coordinate one‑way signage on Bavaro Pass to improve traffic control.
Livery license: Abdul Ghani Dahani applied for a livery permit for one vehicle (Black Car Limo Boston / Danvers Car Service). He said bookings will be handled online by reservation; the board approved the application.
The board approved all items by voice vote and asked staff to issue letters of thanks where appropriate and to coordinate traffic and event details with DPW and police.
