Three consultants present planning approaches as county advances comprehensive plan

Three consulting teams presented alternative approaches to developing Dubois County’s comprehensive plan during the commissioners’ May 5 meeting, and the board heard an offer of direct participation from a local nonprofit.
Scott Siefker and Sam Wiser of Taylor Siefker Williams described the firm’s approach and philosophy for creating the county plan. Jack Woods of VERIDUS Group (also known as Civitas Strategies) outlined his firm’s timeline and deliverables, and Philip Roth of American StructurePoint presented the firm’s vision2action planning method.
Dubois Strong Director Colton Pipenger attended and volunteered to serve on the comprehensive plan Steering Committee and assist the county on projects. The presentations provided commissioners with comparative approaches to community engagement and planning phases so the county can select a consultant and form a Steering Committee.
No consultant selection was made at the May 5 meeting; presentations and stakeholder input will inform the county’s next steps.
